BIOGRAPHY
Gisella started in music as a child studying classical piano. Born to a Vietnamese mother and Bolivian father, Gisella grew up in a multicultural environment that gave her with a deep appreciation of international music and the arts.
In the early teens, she participated at the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival and the Eastside Piano Scholarship Competition, both piano competitions in Seattle, Washington. She later began exploring her passion for music through guitar, voice and composition. During High School, she was a member of the Schola Cantorum Choir of the Saint James Cathedral of Seattle. Her interest in music ranges from pop to classical.
During the summer of 2008, Gisella worked on an album of classical and traditional Christmas songs that celebrate the holiday. ‘Ave Maria’ is a collection of Christmas carols in different languages including: English, Latin, German, French and Spanish. It combines classical Christmas themes with multi cultural musical arrangements.
Currently, Gisella is a film student at NYU. She plans to work on documentaries to elevate awareness of important contemporary social issues and the environment. She also continues to write and compose music.
